Seven Citizens Thinkers Writers alumni have been awarded 2022 Teagle Humanities Fellowships. Abdulrahman Elrefae, Alena Gutierrez, Elisa Cruz, Giancarlo Gallicchio, Luke Izzo, Meghan Heier, and Sayed Ardhi have each received $1000 to participate in the fellowship, where they will have the opportunity to read and discuss two books with an academic mentor. Fellows will also produce an essay that uses their chosen texts to reflect on a contemporary issue or event. Their final fellowship essays will be available online in the fall.
